Bubbas is operated by Sona Labs LLC.

Bubbas uses artificial intelligence to help you train your dog. This page describes what AI features we offer, what data may be processed, who processes it, and important limits on that advice.

AI features in Bubbas

1. Professor Books (AI coach) — Answers training questions using your dog profile, chat history, and related app context.
2. Breed suggestion (onboarding) — Optionally analyzes a dog photo you upload to suggest a breed.
3. Personalized articles — Generates or adapts educational articles using your dog and training context.
4. Onboarding and plan copy — Personalizes some in-app text during onboarding based on your answers.
5. On-device speech recognition — Transcribes voice notes during training sessions on your device when available (not sent to our AI vendor for transcription).

Third-party AI provider

Coach, breed detection, article personalization, and related generative features are processed server-side through Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini models) via Bubbas infrastructure (Supabase Edge Functions). We send only the data needed to provide the feature you requested.

Depending on the feature, that may include:

• Chat messages and coach conversation history
• Dog profile details (name, breed, age, goals, progress)
• Training session summaries and skill progress
• Photos you choose to upload (for example, breed detection)
• Onboarding answers used to personalize plans and articles

We do not use your content to train Google’s or Bubbas’s general-purpose models. Processing is limited to delivering the feature to you, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Your choices

• You must agree to our Terms, Privacy Policy, and this AI Disclosure before creating an account.
• You can use Bubbas without uploading a dog photo (breed suggestion is optional).
• You can delete your account and associated data in Settings → Delete Account or at our account deletion page.

Bubbas AI features provide educational dog-training guidance only. They are not veterinary, medical, behavioral diagnosis, or emergency advice. For aggression, bite risk, or unsafe situations, contact a qualified trainer, certified behaviorist, or veterinarian.

Reporting issues

If an AI-generated coach response or article seems incorrect, offensive, or unsafe, use Report on the coach message or email [email protected].
