Meet Rocco — the Tornado.
Leash pulling. Zero focus. Recall is a rumor. Rocco turns chaos into a plan you can actually follow.

How Rocco fixes distracted walks
Not a lecture. A sequence.
Step 1
Stop feeding the chaos
Reduce rehearsal. Make walks easier before you make them harder.
✓ You can get 1 calm check-in before the pull starts.
Step 2
Train one tiny rep
2–5 minutes/day. Attention → reward → repeat.
✓ Your dog snaps back to you when you say their name.
Step 3
Proof it in the real world
Gradually add distractions: distance → duration → difficulty.
✓ You can pass a trigger without losing the whole walk.
What progress looks like (without the hype)
Week 1
Walks stop being a full-time fight. You get 2–3 real check-ins per walk.
Week 2
Loose-leash moments show up. Your dog recovers faster after distractions.
Week 4
You can pass common triggers with a plan — not prayers.

Why the distracted-dog plan works
Bubbas builds focus in low-distraction settings first, then adds sidewalks, smells, people, dogs, and busy routes one layer at a time.
Leash-pulling plans teach a replacement rhythm -- check in, loosen the leash, move again -- instead of relying on corrections or equipment swaps alone.
Recall starts indoors and moves outward only after the cue is reliable, protecting it from being ignored in environments the dog is not ready for yet.
Frequently asked questions
How fast will walks feel better?+
Most people feel a difference in Week 1 — not perfect walks, but less chaos and more control. Real progress compounds when you repeat the same reps daily and slowly raise difficulty.
Do I need treats forever?+
You’ll use rewards heavily at the start because you’re rebuilding attention. Over time, you shift to intermittent rewards and “life rewards” (sniff breaks, permission to explore) so it holds up outside.
What if my dog is reactive on leash?+
Start with distance and calmer reps — don’t try to push through triggers. If your dog is lunging or barking, we treat it like a skill problem plus an environment problem: space, timing, and repetition.
Can multiple people follow the same plan?+
Yes — and it’s a cheat code. If everyone uses the same cues and rewards the same behaviors, dogs improve faster. Bubbas is built for household consistency so the plan doesn’t fall apart when someone else grabs the leash.
When should I hire a professional trainer?+
If there’s aggression, bites, or escalating reactivity, bring in a certified pro. Bubbas can still support you with structure and daily reps, but safety and escalation cases deserve expert eyes in person.
